COVID-19: NCDC Records 110 New Cases In 10 States, FCT, Discharges 133

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 110 more cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The new infections were reported from 10 states and Abuja according to an update posted on the agency’s website Saturday night.

Lagos recorded the highest number of new infections with 26, followed by the FCT and Kaduna with 23 and 20 respectively.

Others are; Katsina 11, Ogun 7, Ekiti 6, Plateau 5, Rivers 4, Kano 3, Nasarawa 3 and Niger 2.

The updated indicated that 133 persons were discharged on Saturday after being certified free of the virus.

The updated added: “Our discharges today include 70 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.”

The NCDC further reported that “till date, 67,330 cases have been confirmed, 62,819 cases have been discharged and 1,171 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
