Mr Bonu Solomon, the Lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency 1 in Lagos State House of Assembly, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday.

According to the lawmaker, the restoration works were approved by Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, marking steps toward resolving the blackout affecting the area.

He also disclosed that a stakeholders’ engagement meeting would be held to ensure that everyone was carried along.

“This will involve a comprehensive briefing from the Ministry of Energy to outline the scope and expected impact of the ongoing project.

“I want to assure my people in Badagry-West LCDA that with this new development, electricity will be restored to our community soonest,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that electricity supply to communities in Badagry-West LCDA had been disrupted for over two years, largely due to vandalism and cable theft. (NAN)
