Stolen mace back in the National Assembly

The mace, symbol of authority of the Legislature snatched at the Senate chamber on Wednesday by some thugs is back.

It was returned by the police upon recovery under the flyover near the City Gate in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to the Special Adviser to the Senate President, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, the DIG, Operations, Joshak Habila, brought the mace to the National Assembly.

It was received by the Chief Security Officer of the National Assembly who later handed it over to the Sergeant-at-Arms.

The stolen mace has been returned to the Senate chamber.
