Six Coronavirus Patients Make Full Recovery In Lagos, Set To Be Discharged

Six of the 32 confirmed coronavirus patients receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Lagos have recovered and will soon be discharged.

Special assistant to the Lagos state governor on health, Tunde Ajayi, disclosed this on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

His tweet read: “Six of our #COVID19 inpatients have recovered and will be discharged soon. There is something Lagos is doing right. Lagos takes the lead.”

Prior to the latest development, the total number of those who have recovered stood at two with one death recorded.

However, with the new recoveries, the number now stands at 8.

On Wednesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced via that the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country had risen to 51.

The number rose from 46 with the first confirmed case in Rivers state, and two new cases in Lagos and Abuja.
