The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted thick dust haze weather condition over the Central states of the country on Wednesday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Tuesday, also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 26 to 34 and 11 to 21 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience dust haze conditions over the inland and coastal cities with visibility range of one to three kilometres.
It also predicted localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m over the region with day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 34 and 16 to 22 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, northern states will experience dust haze condition with visibility range of one to three kilometres with visibility of 1000m or less over Katsina, Dutse, Kano and Sokoto.
“Day and night temperature values over the region are expected to be in the range of 26 to 34 and 10 to 17 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Visibility is expected to remain poor across the country due to the fresh dust that was raised over the source region with thick dust haze anticipated over the central cities.
“Dust haze condition is expected to prevail over the northern and inland cities with visibility range of 1-3km during the afternoon and evening period within the next 24 hours,’’ NiMet predicted.
