No fewer than 10 people were killed by some armed bandits in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna State.
The bandits, it was gathered, went on rampage at about 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday shooting.
They killed and burnt houses.
In a statement it issued, the Birnin Gwari Vanguard for Security and Good Governance spoke about the level of disaster caused.

“The bandits burnt houses and grains and food stuff of the affected villages.
“The affected villages are in need of aid, such as food, shelter and clothes,” the group said.
The group also stressed the need for the government to enhance security in the areas.
According to it, more troops should be sent to stop the mayhem.
