The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the redeployment of four Commissioners of Police, CPs, to Adamawa, Imo and Plateau states as well as the Force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID, Force headquarters, Abuja.
The redeployed Commissioners of Police are; Olugbenga Adeyanju, FDC (Adamawa state), Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede, FDC (Imo state), Audu Adamu Madaki (FCID,FHQ, Abuja) and Edward Chuka Egbuka (Plateau State).

The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Frank Mba, who disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, said the redeployment is with immediate effect.
Mba quoted the IG as urging the citizens of the affected States to accord the CPs maximum support and cooperation while he charged the newly posted CPs to ensure that they effectively consolidate and improve on the performances of their predecessors.
