There is palpable tension at Agwa in Oguta local government area of Imo state after persons suspected to be Fulani herders attacked the community Wednesday, firing gunshots sporadically and killing five people in the process.

It was also gathered that three villagers were abducted while many were left injured.

 

Our correspondent also gathered that the attack was the third time the herders were attacking the community, taking over and keeping indigenes away from their farmlands.

 

According to an impeccable source, those killed since the three attacks included a young man, a young woman, and okada riders going their normal businesses.

 

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Aboki Danjuma, has ordered his men to go into the bush in the community to fish out the criminals.
