President Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, met at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday over the killings in Plateau.
No fewer than 86 people were killed in the attacks carried out by suspected herdsmen at the weekend.
Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had visited the state separately to commiserate with the people and government.

But in a tweet at @NASSNigeria, the meeting involving the two leaders of the National Assembly and the president was announced.
It reads: “The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara are now meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari over the #PlateauKillings. The meeting was requested by the presiding officers of @NASSNigeria.”
It would be recalled that Saraki had called on the president to urgently address the problem of insecurity bedeviling the country.
