Gov. Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State, on Wednesday, announced the appointment of more cabinet members.
The appointments are with immediate effect.
A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Chibuike Onyeukwu, in Owerri, the state capital, disclosed the names and portfolios of the appointees.

The newly appointed cabinet members include: Mr. Jones Onyereri – Special Adviser (Political), Mr. Jeff Ojinika – Special Adviser (Inter-party), Prof. Chudi Uwazurike – Special Adviser (Diaspora), Dr. Sonny Ogulewe – Senior Special Assistant (Admin), Secretary to State Governments (SSG’s) Office, Uche Udozor – Senior Special Assistant (Agricultural Development), Mr Richmond Osuji – Senior Special Assistant (Rural Development) and Mr. Anselm Okorie – Senior Special Assistant (SDGs).
Other appointees are; Estella Mbadiwe – Senior Special Assistant (Health Services), Mr. Abba Chimaraoke – Senior Special Assistant (ICT and e-Governance), Mr. Emeka Opara – Senior Special Assistant (Legal Matters), Mrs Adaora Onyechere – Special Assistant (Information and Advocacy) and Izuchukwu Akwarandu – Special Assistant (New Media).
The statement quoted the governor as saying he was confident that the wealth of experience of the new appointees would add value to the re-building of the state.
