The Federal Government said it has created a N25 billion Youth Fund to address the #EndSARS protests and other related youth restiveness in Nigeria.
Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this on Saturday, at a stakeholder meeting with the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, in Kaduna.
She said the fund would be increased to N75 billion within a three-year period.

According to the minister, the meeting was in compliance with President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive to ministers and governors to dialogue with stakeholders following the #EndSARS protests.
Mrs. Ahmed explained that the aim of the fund was to support youths to actualise their innovative and entrepreneurial ideas in growing their businesses and becoming self-reliant.
The Kaduna state deputy governor said that the essence of the meeting was to brainstorm towards tackling the security challenges during the #EndSARS protests, according to The PUNCH.
The Minister of Environment, Dr. Mohammad Abubakar, who was also at the meeting, said the Federal Government was committed to initiating people-friendly policies and reforms aimed at creating jobs for the youths.
