President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, received Her Majesty, Queen Mary Elizabeth of Denmark, at the State House in Abuja.
The European monarch received a warm welcome at the President’s official residence inside the State House, where President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu greeted her.
The high-level meeting, which marks a significant diplomatic engagement between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Denmark, took place behind closed doors, with details of the discussions yet to be disclosed.
Also present at the reception were the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu.
In the company of the Queen was the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Ole Bach Hansen.
The visit is expected to strengthen bilateral ties and reinforce the shared commitment to cooperation between Nigeria and Denmark.
