The Anambra State government has established a COVID-19 Task Force in each of the 21 local governments areas and 326 wards in the state.
The government in a statement on Wednesday, said at local council level, each task force would be headed by the Chairman of the Transition Committee, and members would comprise the Health Officer, Information Officer, Disease and Surveillance Officer and the Ministry of Health COVID-19 Laision Officer in the local council area.
At ward level, members would be include Ministry of Health Liaison Officer, the officer in charge of the main Primary Healthcare, the youth leader, the woman leader, development ward chairman and councillor who, would head it.

The Commissioner of Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C. Don Adinuba, who issued the statement, said both task forces would take to the grassroots the message of the dangers of COVID-19 and how to prevent the spread of the contagion.
Adinuba pleaded with members of the various communities to provide relevant information to the task forces in the LGAs and in the 326 wards in the state.
