The 13th edition of music awards, “Headies” which held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos saw Teni the Entertainer winning big walking away with four awards.
Also, Falz won a total of three for his work with the album ‘Moral Instruction’.
The 2019 Headies kicked off with a red carpet at about 7p.m and the hosts this year were Actress and TV host, Nancy Isime and rap star, Reminisce.
The show featured performances from artistes like Victor AD, Duncan Mighty, Teni and others. One of the high points of the night was when Styl Plus, the R & B group of the 90s came on stage and performed their hits like ‘Imagine That’, ‘Olufummi’, ‘Call My Name’ and others. The audience got on their feet and sang along.
The show was well attended by housemates of the BBNaija ‘Pepper Dem Gang’ with Mercy, Mike, Venita and Tacha even acting as presenters. Other housemates in attendance were Omashola, Frodd, and Seyi.
