Three filling station owners have been arrested in Asaba, Delta State, over destruction the state government’s seal on their business premises.
They had earlier failed to submit their approved business plan and other documents to the Area and Zonal Planning Officer in the Ministry of Lands and Survey, within a two-week stipulated period for verification from the day of service.
The Area Planning Officer and Secretary of the Delta State Operation Show Your Building Plan Taskforce, Mr Bath Osanebi ,revealed that the lawless action was discovered during a recent monitoring exercise on sealed business outlets by the taskforce in Asaba.

Lamenting, he disclosed that the business premises of the arrested persons had earlier been sealed, expressing displeasure over the fact that almost a month after, the service of verification and subsequently reminder notices were issued, they failed to respond to the directives as they broke government seal.
Condemning their actions, Osanebi declared that the state government would not hesitate to punish erring business operators.
He noted that their arrest would serve as deterrent to other who endanger Deltans by flouting government directive.
