President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has appointed Sen. Abubakar Danladi Abubakar as his Special Adviser on Special Duties.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, to the President of the Senate, Yusuph Olaniyonu, the appointment was with immediate effect.
The 53 years old Abubakar represented Taraba North in the National Assembly as senator till 2017 when he was sacked by the Supreme Court.

His election was challenged by Shuaibu Lau who has since been sworn in.
The court ruled that Abubakar did not secure the highest number of votes in the primary election to make him the candidate of his party.
While in the Senate, Abubakar served as the chairman of the committee on NEPAD and member of other committees.
