Some protesters seeking the law to back the rights of young Nigerians to contest for elective positions have stormed the gate of the National Assembly.
Their motive was to meet with lawmakers and their leadership to express their opinion, but were prevented from gaining access by security operatives.
In annoyance, the protesters, who operate under the aegis of “I support #Not too Young to Run” blocked the entrance of the NASS, not allowing movements in or out of the complex.
The protesters had earlier gathered for a rally at the Unity Fountain Abuja from where they marched to the gate of the National Assembly.
