The presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party, Kingsley Moghalu, has described the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as kettle and pot.

Responding on to a question on his thoughts regarding the absence of the Presidential candidates of both parties, Moghalu noted that the duo were absent because they could not answer the intricate questions on economy, and security among other.

He said: “You see the APC and the PDP, one is kettle, one is pot and they are calling themselves black.”

Responding to the same question, candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, Oby Ezekwesili, simply said both have announced their exit while the candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria, Fela Durotoye noted that the absence of the duo meant they had concurred that “the future is here.”

He also noted that their absence showed they didn’t have much regard for Nigerians.

However, both candidates have explained their absence from the debate. While Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, who had made an appearance at venue of the debate said he could not challenge Buhari in his absence, the President on his part said he had spoken and answered questions at another forum a few days back.
