President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the recomposition of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina on Thursday.
Furthermore, the President directed that the Interim Management Team of the NDDC should remain be in place till the end of the audit.
He also directed that the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs should continue to oversee the board.

Buhari said the Board would be inaugurated after a forensic audit.
The statement read: “President Muhammadu Buhari has approved that the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) be recomposed and inaugurated after the forensic audit of the organization.
“The President has also directed that the Interim Management Team of the NDDC shall be in place till the forensic is completed, and that the supervision of the Commission shall remain under the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.”
