1. The entire leadership and members of the Godswill Obot Akpabio Loyalists and Supporters, GOALS, across the Niger Delta region, are seriously miffed by the incessant sponsored media attacks against the person and office of the Hon. Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
2. More worrisome is the infantile, needless, senseless and highly unsubstantiated allegations often dished out to the unsuspecting publics using a highly compromised online platform – Pointblanknews.
3. It can be recalled that Pointblanknews in a series of concocted news had few days ago also alleged that the Interim Management Board of the NDDC had sought the nod of CBN to withdraw N1.9 billion for payment for water hyacinth contract. It turned out that the unsubstantiated news was a piece of fiction by PointBlank News.
4. Our investigation of the highly compromised media outfit reveals that it is a tabloid news stable sympathetic to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, since the return of democratic rule in 1999. Also, we have tracked to know that the witches brew of lies and hate recently flowing from Pointblanknews against Senator Akpabio is the handiwork of some reprobates and social media rascals from the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the PDP.

5. We are not surprised that a few key officers of Pointblanknews are indigenes of Akwa Ibom State, who have close links with the Akwa Ibom State Government. The fact that Pointblanknews is sacrificing its professional integrity and core values,( if it ever had) by cavorting with a band of reprobate minded rascals in order to sustain favour from the Udom Emmanuel-led government reflects the depth of gross irresponsibility to which it has sunk.
6. It is also instructive to note that this particular online news platform had been out of circulation for well over five years,
apparently due to serial Presidential elections defeat suffered by the PDP since 2015. PDP was the pay-to-play cash cow that hitherto provided the finance for its operations.
7. Pointblanknews, is now being resuscitated by those corrupt hunchos who milked the Niger Delta Region dry and are now afraid of the forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, as ordered by Mr. President.
8. In the current futile battle by some Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, contractors who collected contracts with mobilization fees, but callously abandoned sites, the moribund Pointblanknews has offered itself as a mercenary and strawman, to spew falsehood and outright lies against political office holders who have been ordered by Mr. President to sanitise the Commission. But, we boldly and unequivocally state that neither fake news nor hate mongering by the highly compromised online news outlet, or by any other public enemy, can deter Senator Akpabio and others from uncommonly transforming the Niger Delta region.
9. Since Pointblanknews is swimming against the tide of popular support for reforms in the NDDC, GOALS is willing and ready to help it, together with all other enemies of progress in the Niger Delta region, sink swiftly and self destruct in their hate filled depravity.
While sparing no effort to expose their craftiness, we will highlight, support and promote all Federal Government policies set to restructure the NDDC and bring about development in the Niger Delta region.
10. All lies against Senator Akpabio and, recently, against the Attorney General of the Federation concerning the restructuring of NDDC are pointers to the fact that Point blanknews is working for a fee paid by those who do not want their corrupt activities in NDDC to be exposed.
