The total number of persons infected with the Coronavirus in Nigeria rose to 46,140 on Saturday with the confirmation of 453 additional cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The new infections were reported from 19 states and the FCT.
The disease control agency released the figures in an update published on its website Saturday night.

It also disclosed that six persons died from the disease within the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 942.
Meanwhile, the agency said a total of 33, 044 cases have been discharged upon receiving treatment for the virus.
The Federal Capital Territory recorded the highest number of cases with 75 new infections while Lagos followed with 71.
The rest are as follows – Benue (53), Delta (39), Borno (30), Enugu (25), Plateau (24), Osun (20), Abia (19), Oyo (17), Kaduna (16), Kano (13), Ebonyi (13), Ogun (9), Kwara (7), Ondo (6), Gombe (3), Ekiti (2), Akwa Ibom (1) and Rivers (1).
