The Peoples Democratic Party is poised to investigate the conduct of its lawmakers during the National Assembly elections, NASS.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, who addressed journalists after its 86th National Executive Committee’ meeting in Abuja, Thursday night, said the party would investigate why its preferred candidates for the leadership of the 9th NASS failed.
The party had directed its members to vote Ali Ndume, as the Senate President and Umar Bargo as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

But the preferred candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila, emerged as the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively.
According to Ologbodinyan, the party had already set up a committee to probe June 11, NASS elections as it relates to the party.
He also disclosed that the party had increased the governorship nomination fee ahead of the Kogi and Bayelsa States governorship elections from N5m to N20m, adding though, that the expression of interest fee remained N1m.
The PDP spokesman said that nomination for female aspirants remained free.
