Morroco has won the final of this year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN), beating Nigeria’s Super Eagles, 4 – 0.
With the victory, Morocco has become the first to win the two championships – African Nations Championship (CHAN) and the more prestigious African Cup of Nations.
It was a rainy night in Casablanca, Morocco when the Super Eagles and Lions of Atlas, Morocco , met in the final of CHAN for the first time.
There was an opportunity to score in the 39th minute but too many red shirts in the box.
Many thought Ayoub El-Kaabi would be the only one to torment the Super Eagles of Nigeria, but they were two of them.
Ismail El-Hadad was one of the tormentors for the Moroccan side.
From start to finish they attacked the Super Eagles as though their lives depended on it.
In the 44th minute they broke the deadlock with a goal scored by Zakaria Hadraf.
A sweeping move from the left hand side saw them score a goal before half time.

Eneji Moses received a second yellow in the 47th minute after a rough challenge on a Moroccan player.
Ayoub Elkaabi in the 61 minute made it two goals to nil.
Zakaria Hadraf scored his second goal in the 63rd minute to make it 3-0.
It came from a slip at the back.
There was a misunderstanding between Eze and Ajiboye at the defence and the ball was set up perfectly for Hadraf, the Raja Casablanca of Morocco man.
From then till the last minute, Nigerians were under pressure.
Ayoub El-Kaabi made it 4-0 in the 73rd.
That goal made his tally in the competition nine, making him the highest goal scorer of the tournament.
It was a one sided match.
