Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has charged the State Police Command to carry out thorough investigation into circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Gregory Indyor, his wife and their son of about six years.
Our correspondent gathered that Mr. Indyor, his wife and son were gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen, late hours of Thursday night at the North Bank area of Makurdi the Benue state capital.
The death of the Indyors is coming barely a week after a family of four were killed in a fire inferno at the Kwararafa Quarters in Makurdi.
Sources say the late Indyor was strangled alongside his wife and son, master Terkumaiwuese Indyor at their residence by suspected assassins who immediately fled the scene without carting away any valuable item in the house.

Governor Ortom in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, described as unfortunate and shocking, the incident which took place at the residence of the deceased in Kaltungu area of North Bank, Makurdi.
He urged the police to unravel the actual cause of the deaths, and if proven that Mr Indyor, his wife and child were killed, the suspects should be apprehended.
The Governor sympathized with the bereaved family and prayed for the repose of the three souls, while asking that adequate protection should be accorded the two-year-old child of the family who is still alive.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Benue State Command, DSP Catherine Anene who confirmed the incident earlier said the case was under investigation to unravel the mystery and those behind the dastardly act.
