A group called G36 Rochas Movement has condemned discouraging comments making the rounds that the former governor of Imo state and Chairman Rocha’s Foundation, Mr. Rochas Okorocha is using his schools for political reasons.

The group’s National Coordinator, Mohammed Mohammed, who spoke to The Next Edition said Okorocha is, no doubt, a politician to the core but his love for philanthropy cannot be over emphasized.

Mohammed who cautioned that the philanthropic nature of Okorocha should not be politicised said those who are making the comments that Mr. Rochas Okorocha is giving free education because of politics are out for some mischief and should not be given a listening ear.

He stated that for a very long time, Rochas Okorocha through his organization, Rocha’s Foundation, has been touching lives in many ways particularly in the area of giving free education to orphans and children of poor.

He further stated that instead of saying things to discreet the person of Okorocha, more Nigerians should emulate and join him in bringing succour yo the less privileged.

Mohammed who was irked by some discrediting comments against the good deeds of Mr. Okorocha said “some are saying Rochas Okorocha is using his schools for politics, he is giving free education because of politics.

“I ask such people is it only Rochas that is a politician? Why have the rest not emulated him to do same?

While pointing out that God loves anyone who feeds the poor and helps people in need, the groups National Coordinator has made their mark before God and would surely receive their blessings irrespective of what the people are saying.

“Only God knows the people that benefited true Rochas Foundation. How many students given free education, and yet with all this, instead of appreciate him, people are saying he is using it for politics. This is very discouraging,” he said adding that those making the comments are aides whose principals never did same about caring for the poor.

He urged Mr. Rochas Okorocha not to be discouraged but to continue to attend to the needs of orphans and vulnerable children saying God who sees his heart will reward him for his all good deeds.

He also called on the government of Imo state government to build on the legacies left behind by Mr. Okorocha for the good of the Imo people.

Mohammed said “I was pained when I found on my research that some of his project their being abandoned while some projects are being demolished by state government. That is not the way you go.”

He named school and road projects among other projects done by the immediate past Governor of Imo state saying the presentation Government should rather consolidate on them.

He called on politicians in Nigeria to eschew politics of bitterness, lies, blackmail and hatred and support one another for the good of all Nigerians.
