It was jubilation in Sagamu, Ogun State, when thousands of supporters, including traders, fashion designers, hair dressers, artisans, small-scale business owners received Omooba Aderibigbe Adeleke Tella, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, who visited the people for consultations.

Also, several excited APC stalwarts from over 27 communities in the local government area were there to receive Tella, who came to the event held at Falawo Market Square, Sagamu, with a retinue of supporters.

Tella, while speaking at the event, enjoined the people of the area to support the APC government at all levels by voting massively for its candidates in the coming election.

He emphasised that for them to continue to enjoy the good dividends of democracy initiated by Governor Ibikunle Amosun, they should support his aspiration as he would not disappoint them, even as he said he would not abandon any project started by the incumbent governor in the area of infrastructural development, agriculture and education.

Tella promised the people that if he emerged the APC candidate and eventually won the election, he would remain focused on the needs of the people.

He stressed that he would pay attention to the creative and fashion industries to engage the teeming unemployed youths in the state.

He assured the market associations that he would upgrade the markets to modern status, with functional amenities.

He added that his administration would come up with a funding scheme with financial institutions to support traders and artisans as he described that as part of the agricultural value chain and fast wealth creators.

Tella also pledged that he would cause traders to be trained and retrained in financial literacy and small business management so that constant loss of capital that had been the lot of traders could be curtailed.

Chief Mrs. Olasande Oduwaiye, the Iyaloja of Falawo and Remo zonal leader, thanked Tella for recognising the contributions of traders, market women and men, especially the leaders.

She advised him to remember to continue consulting with them if he emerged the APC candidate and eventually won the election, even as she pledged the support of the traders and market leaders for his aspiration.
