The Bayelsa East Youth Alliance has commended former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan for his neutrality during the National Assembly elections, which they claimed led to the emergence of the All Progressives Congress, APC’s Bishop Degi Ereminyo, as Senator-elect from the zone.
The group pleaded with Jonathan to maintain the same neutrality in Saturday’s States House of Assembly elections.
In a statement signed by the Director of Publicity of the group, Mr. Iniobio Amos they recalled Jonathan’s statement that he was father to all those contesting in the NASS election regardless of the party they belonged and that a good father does not discriminate in a contest amongst his children.

Describing the assertions of the former president as wise counsel, they urged him to adopt a similar position in Saturday’s House of Assembly election in the state as all contestants regardless of the party they belonged to were still his children.
The Bayelsa East Youth Alliance appealed to Jonathan to continue to support President Muahammadu Buhari and to prevail on him to consider a Bayelsa youth in his new cabinet having promised that a huge percentage of youths will dominate his next cabinet.
They equally appreciated other leaders of the senatorial zone like King A.J Turner for supporting APC candidates.
