The money was described as the campaign fund in 2015 for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The court remanded them in prison last week pending the proper application for bail after they pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

Yero was arraigned on three-count-charge bordering on conspiracy to commit crime to wit directly taking possession of N700 million contrary to section 18(a) of the money laundering act; directly taking possession of N700 million contrary to section 18(d) and cash transaction without passing through a financial institution.

The others were arraigned on an additional charge of cash payment without passing through a financial institution.
