Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State on Thursday visited the family of a student of the University of Maiduguri, Ropvil Daciya Dalep, who was killed by terrorists in Borno State.
Dalep, a native of Jing in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau, was abducted in early January by a faction of Boko Haram terrorists, Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) on his way to school.

Lalong, who had earlier sent a delegation to the family, said he was distressed by the murder of the student.
In a statement by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Government House, Dr. Macham Makut, Lalong said, “If the killers of Dalep justified it with the fact that he was from Plateau State and a Christian, then it means he died for Plateau State and we will not forget him.”
