There is heavy security at the Lagos Secretariat of the Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria, RTEAN, as the branch elects new executive members at its Delegates Conference/Election.
The Conference is ongoing.
Security operatives are strategically mounted at the entrance and within the premises of the Secretariat, at Akesan Bus Stop, Igando, Lagos State.
Some of the armed security agencies at the venue of the election include the Nigeria Police and Department of State Security.
The operatives took time to screen and search all RTEAN members before allowing them access into the Secretariat.

The tenure of the current executive members led by Mohammed Musa will expire on Oct. 31
Meanwhile, Musa, is contesting for a second term in office with other executive members.
Recall that Musa’s second term ambitious had created a rift among the executives when seven out of the 53 state executive members opposed his staying for another term.
Musa first came into office in 2014.
Those opposing Musa’s continuity are led by the state Deputy Chairman (Administration), Suleiman Onabanjo.
