Abducted chairman of Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, Muhammed Mahmood has been released along with his daughter.
Their release was confirmed by Hussain Danladi, one of Mahmood’s aides.
Recall that Mahmood and his daughter were abducted along Kaduna-Abuja road on Monday afternoon while travelling from Kaduna to the federal capital territory, FCT.
His driver was shot dead during the incident.

Two other travellers Alowonle Olalere and Onuka Victor both of Ibadan, Oyo State who sustained injuries during the incident were rescued by the police.
The police said the two men were on their way back from Kano where they went to shoot a film titled ‘The Last Step’.
Danladi reportedly said no ransom was paid to secure their release.
