Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has rejected the results announced, insisting that the elections were marred by massive rigging and non- compliance with the electoral law.

APC State agent, Prof Festus Arunaye said,” I reject the votes as announced because right from the ward level to the local government collation centre there was gross mayhem, violence which has resulted in deaths. The elections were conducted in gross violation of the electoral laws.”
