As part of efforts to set up a football academy in Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Wike, was in Spain on Monday where he met with star player, Cristiano Ronald, and some players of Read Madrid Football Club.

Wike was accompanied by the state’s Commissioner for Sports, Boma Iyaye.
The spokesman of the governor who spoke on the visit said a tour of the training facilities of the football club was toured by the governor and his entourage.
He also said the state had plans to set up a football academy in the state.
