Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attackEd a Catholic church in Benue state killing a priest in the process.
The Next Edition correspondent gathered that gunmen, on Tuesday morning, had stormed St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Aye-Twar village, Agu centre in Kastina-Ala Local Government Area and killed Fr. Nguban Fanen.
Confirming the attack and death of Revd Nguban, the Police Public Relationship Officer, (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene, sad Rev Nguban was attacked and killed in the parish house.
Anene said the police and other joint security operatives are already on the trail of the perpetrators while the body of the Reverend father has been deposited at the mortuary.
She assured Benue people that the hoodlums will account for their acts.
