A 54-year-old woman, Olabisi Olawoye, was on Friday arraigned before in an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly posing as a Police Supt. (SP) in an attempt to defraud Chief Magistrate Yewande Aje of Magistrate Court 1, Ogba, Lagos.
She is therefore facing a count of of impersonation to which she pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Kehinde Omisakin, told the court that the defendant committed the offence in the month of August 2018 at Magistrate Court 1, Ogba, Lagos.

According to her, the defendant had presented herself as a Police Supt. attached to the Surveillance Section, State CID, Panti, in a bid to defraud Chief Magistrate Yewande Aje, contrary to Section 380(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Komolafe, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties each in like sum, with evidence of tax payments to the Lagos state government for the last three years.
She fixed June 6, for further hearing.
