No fewer than nine persons were arraigned at the Federal High Court, Apo, in Abuja for alleged involvement in cases of ghost workers in the civil service.
They suspects were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday.
The suspects are from different ministries and government agencies like the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources; Environment Ministry and the Federal Civil Service Commission, FCSC.

Some of the suspects are Usman Dayo, Osuntope Opeyemi, Johnson Adedokun, Ojeido Sylvanus, Oyebode Ayodeji, Florence Dada, Olaolu Dada, Blessing Ejeh and Aderibigbe Taiwo.
The charges against them were alleged creation and insertion of various fictitious names on the payroll of the federal government for salaries and allowances without official consent, thereby causing the loss of several millions of Naira.
The suspects however pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them.
One of the suspects, according to investigation, was reported to have and operate about 200 personal accounts with different banks in Abuja.
