Lagos State Government says it has successfully managed and discharged a total of 1,364 COVID-19 cases.
This is as the state announced the discharge of 36 patients who have made full recovery from the disease.
The patients were discharged on Thursday to reunite with their families and society.
According to the state Ministry of Health which announced the recoveries via its official Twitter handle on Thursday, the discharged patients compromised 11 females and 25 males. They were discharged from five isolation centres in the state.
The tweet read: “Today, 36 fully recovered #COVID19Lagos patients; 11 females & 25 males were discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients; 9 from Onikan, 8 from Gbagada, 7 from Agidingbi, 4 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) & 8 from Lekki Isolation Centres were discharged after testing negative to #COVID19.
“With this, the number of #COVID19 cases successfully managed & discharged in Lagos has risen to 1364.”
The ministry encouraged residents to report cases of the disease using its toll free number.
“Our toll free helpline 08000CORONA= 08000267662 is still very active, just call it to report any #COVID19 issue.
“Let’s keep doing our part to reduce the spread of #COVID19,” it added.
