Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday attacked former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Farida Waziri.
He accused her of lying against him.
Waziri who was the chairman of the EFCC under Jonathan’s administration had claimed that Jonathan sacked her because she refused to stop the probe of one of those behind fuel subsidy scam at the time.
But writing on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Jonathan challenged Waziri to prove her claim.
She said she should specifically state the person in question.

According to him, failure to do that would mean that she was sponsored against him.
“If Farida is not telling lies, she should mention the person or company she was investigating and she was stopped, let the EFCC investigate.
“Crime has no statute bar. If she can’t then she was simply hired to attack me,” Jonathan said.
It would be recalled that one of the former media aide to Jonathan, Reno Omokri, had dismissed Waziri’s claim as false.
He said Waziri was known to always lie against former presidents.
