In its bid to reconcile the warring factions in the Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the National Working Committee of the party has lifted the suspension of Senator Shehu Sani
Sani who is representing Kaduna Central senatorial district in the National Assembly was suspended at the ward level – Tudun Wada Ward.
The decision of the NWC is contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Acting National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena.
The statement reads: “The National Secretariat has received the news of the suspension of Senator Shehu Sani by the Tudun Wada Ward chairman and wishes to clarify that the purported suspension of Distinguished Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District is hereby lifted and he is confirmed as a bonafide member and leader of our party.

“The Chairman Kaduna State Chapter has been directed to inform the relevant Ward and Local Government chapters appropriately and also put the necessary mechanism (in place) towards complementing the efforts of the national leadership towards ensuring lasting peace and unity in the party.”
Following disagreement within the party in the state, Senator Sani had at different times indicated his decision to resign from the party.
He was reported to have, however, been prevailed upon by the leadership of the APC.
He was among the APC legislators that visited President Muhammadu Buhari shortly after some of their colleagues defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
