The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Akwa Ibom State, Nsima Ekere, has assured the people of Okobo Local Government Area of the state an access road to the Atabong Beach Market.
The popular crayfish market, located close to the Atlantic Ocean, served traders from neighbouring states and countries until the bad road forced them to abandon the market and patronize other markets in neighbouring Oron and Mbo Local Government Areas.
Addressing party supporters at the APC campaign rally in Okobo on Wednesday, Ekere promised that the Atabong Road will be the first road he will fix in Okobo to enable the market boom again.
In addition to constructing roads, he also pledged to engage in massive rural development to open up rural communities and bring prosperity to them.
