The Oyo state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lamented the death of Senator Abiola Ajimobi, describing it as an unbelievable reality.

The party in a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Akeem Olatunji, described Ajimobi’s death as very sad and unfortunate.

Oyo PDP described Ajimobi as one of illustrious sons of Ibadanland with special grace upon him, adding that part of evidence of such special grace gave the ex-governor the credit of a jinx breaker, having served as the first governor in Oyo State to serve two terms of four years each.

Oyo PDP noted that even though politics placed the late governor and the ruling party at opposing divides, his contributions to state and national development as governor and Deputy National Chairman of APC while in office, could not be overlooked.
