R-APC joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and other opposition parties to sign a Memorandum of Understanding over Buhari

The Reformed All Progressives Congress, R-APC, has joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and other opposition parties to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

The purpose of the agreement is to present a joint candidate to slug it out with President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 general election.

Also present at the meeting were the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP), National Conscience Party (NCP) and Labour Party.

The National Chairman of the R-APC, Buba Galadima, was at the meeting.

Also present were Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senator Dino melaye and Akwa Ibom State Governor,  Emmanuel Udom.

Speaking with journalists at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, venue of the meeting, a former senator, Ben Obi, said the meeting was to enable parties sign a memorandum for a coalition.

The essence, he said, was to ensure that Buhari was removed in 2019.
