The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun, has vowed to remain in the All Progressives Congress, APC, despite losing the Osun State governorship ticket.
That he said, was because, he knew that in any contest, a winner would have to emerge.
He said although he was conspired against, he had continued to attend the activities of the party along with his supporters.
He added that he would also do everything possible to support the party in the September 22 governorship election.
Lasun who addressed a press conference said: “Although I was conspired against during the governorship primary, I will not leave the party.

“I am still attending all the party’s functions to that effect.
“My supporters and I are still members of the APC and we are not intending to leave the party in the nearest future.
“We will do our best to support the party during the September 22 (governorship) election.
“I know in every contest, there will be a winner, whether it is free or not.”
Lasun spoke about the disagreement within the party in Osun saying that he was being frowned at because he emerged as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“Nobody told me what my offence was except that some people were saying that I went against the party’s position.
“But for me, what they were referring to as party position was actually the position of few leaders of the party,’’ he said.
