Award-winning singers Reekado Banks and Wizkid have finally buried the hatchet after years of public fallout, as they were recently seen enjoying a meal together at a restaurant in Lagos.

This unexpected reunion has set tongues wagging, with many wondering if their once-soured friendship has now been fully mended.

On Tuesday, videos surfaced online showing the Ojuelegba hitmaker and Reekado Banks laughing and dining alongside rapper Shallipopi.

This comes shortly after Wizkid paid a surprise visit to Reekado’s newly launched lounge, Above Lifestyle, in Lagos.
Reekado Banks, also known as Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, personally welcomed Wizkid at the entrance, exchanging warm pleasantries before leading him inside.

The Ozumba Mbadiwe crooner embraced the Starboy, and the two were later spotted sipping drinks and chatting like old friends.

Their reconciliation comes nearly four years after Wizkid had publicly slammed Reekado Banks on X (formerly Twitter), calling him a “clout animal” for attempting to drop their joint song during the heat of the #EndSARS protests in 2020. The track was later released without Wizkid’s verse, marking the start of their cold war.
Now, it seems all is forgiven. Fans are buzzing with excitement, speculating that this could mean a fresh collaboration is on the horizon.

Since December 2024, Wizkid has been fully active in Nigeria, performing at major concerts following the release of his sixth studio album, Morayo, a tribute to his late mother. The Grammy-winning star is also gearing up for his Morayo tour, with some dates already locked in.
