Former Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has said that he is the most investigated governor in the country.

He said he had been probed in all ways and in different places.

Uduaghan made the claim while countering the allegation that he joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, to avoid probe.

Uduaghan spoke during a Channels TV programme on Friday.

His words:  “I am the most investigated former governor. I have gone to the EFCC in Lagos, in Port Harcourt, in Benin, in Abuja. So what kind of investigations are you talking about?

“The EFCC had come to Delta…  In the last three years, he took the SSG’s office for three days, it has never happened in any state; checked files, arrested some people.”

Stressing that there had never been anything that he did in office that was never probed, he said he had the highest number of petitions at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

He said he had even been probed on one petition more than once at different times.

He queried: “So, what sort of investigation is going to happen again?”

Udugaghan defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC recently, stating that he took the decision to support the development of the Niger Delta area by the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
