Victor Moses has announced his decision to quit international football.
Moses made this known through his twitter handle @VictorMoses.
He said on Wednesday that his action resulted from his decision to retire at the age of 27.
He said it would enable him focus fully on his club career and “my young family, as well as to allow the next generation of Super Eagles stars the opportunity to step up and to flourish.”

Moses has played 38 games for Nigeria, 34 of those while at Chelsea.
He scored 12 goals.
Moses started playing for Nigeria in 2012, and he featured in two World Cups, most recently in Russia this summer where he scored from the spot against Argentina.
