Senator Hope Uzodinma, on Wednesday night took oath of office as the new Governor of Imo State, with a promise to probe his predecessor and two other former governors before him.

The former governors are Ikedi Ohakim, Rochas Okorocha and Emeka Ihedioha.

Uzodinma in his inaugural speech after being sworn in by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Paschal Nnadi, ordered the Accountant-General of the state to within four days from Wednesday forward to him the comprehensive financial status of the state from May 29, 2010, till date.

He also ordered the Permanent Secretaries of all the ministries in the state to within the same period forward to him the status of all contracts awarded.

Furthermore, Uzodinma ordered the immediate stoppage of payment of all ongoing contracts in the state.

The new governor, who dedicated his victory to God, said his administration was anchored on rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery.

He pledged to revive the state and ensure it worked again.

Uzodinma also said that he had forgiven those who conspired to rob him of his hard-earned victory.
