The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on Saturday promised to apprehend criminal gangs involved in killings in Adamawa State.
Mr. Idris also ordered the setting up of a mobile and tactical police teams to unravel those behind the recent killings in Numan Local Government Area of the state.
The IGP made the promises during a visit to Adamawa State, barely days after a suicide bomber killed over 50 worshippers in Mubi.
Speaking at the Government House, Yola during a courtesy visit to the Governor, Jibrila Bindow, the police boss said he was in the state to commiserate with the people over the recent attack in Mubi and Numan, respectively.

He assured the governor and the people the police will not stop at anything to unmask those behind heinous crimes in the state.
Mr. Idris could not visit the scene of the suicide attack in Mubi but took time out to condole with the people of Numan over the killings of over 60 women and children.

However, Mr. Idris cancelled the trip at the last minute and instead made the trip Saturday afternoon.
