A community leader in Umuokogbue Eluama in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, Madam Margaret Edeyi is dead.
Madam Edeyi, a devout Christian died on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Warri, Delta State, aged around 90.
The burial arrangements for the late matriarch would be announced later.
Umunna, in his tribute to the late matriarch described her as a virtuous woman who devoted her life to the service of God and humanity.

“Mama was a virtuous woman known for her devotion to God, her family and humanity. Though she became widowed at a rather young age, she remained chaste for the rest of her life. She didn’t go to school but she did everything within her power to ensure that her children did.
“Mama was a quintessential wife and mother. She will be greatly missed but we are comforted by her rich legacy of honest, hard work, love for God and love for humanity,” he said.
