A medical doctor at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, has tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19).
This was disclosed by Gov. Seyi Makinde on Saturday night via his verified Twitter handle.
According to him, the doctor has been isolated while contact tracing is ongoing to identify those who had contact with him.
“The COVID-19 confirmation test for one suspected case; a doctor at the University College Hospital Ibadan came back POSITIVE today.

“Isolation and contact tracing have commenced, So there are currently eight active cases in Oyo State” the governor tweeted.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Oyo currently stands at 16.
According to the state government seven people infected with the virus have been discharged while one was transferred to Lagos.
